Youth held over goalkeeper tweet

Dec 11 2012

A teenager has been arrested over a racist comment allegedly made online to Wales goalkeeper Jason Brown after a World Cup qualifier against Scotland.

Grampian Police launched an investigation after the incident happened in October.

Brown, who plays for Aberdeen Football Club, was apparently sent a racist comment on the Twitter social networking website.

Police say they have now arrested a 17-year-old youth from Aberdeen.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
