Worker killed at animal grain plant

A worker has died in an accident at an animal food processing plant.

Emergency services were called to East Coast Viners in Drumlithie village, near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire, at around 10.15am on Monday, according to police.

The man was in his 40s and died at the scene.

No further details of the accident were given but Grampian Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating.

East Coast Viners produces grain for cattle, sheep and poultry and other minerals for farm use.
