Injury boy, three, dies in hospital

A three-year-old boy who was injured at a house on Tuesday has died, police said.

Ambulance crews were called to Garry Place in the Hallglen area of Falkirk at about 4.45pm on Tuesday.

The child was initially taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital but required an emergency transfer to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, according to the Scottish Ambulance Service.

A Central Scotland Police spokeswoman said: "We can confirm a three-year-old boy has died following an incident at a property in Garry Place in Falkirk on Tuesday.

"Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding his death are ongoing."
