More than 45 firefighters are battling an "extremely difficult" fire.
Grampian Fire and Rescue Service have been at the scene of the incident in Memsie, near Fraserburgh, since the early hours of Friday. A house was said to be "well alight".
A lack of water in the area is making the house fire extremely difficult to deal with, the service said. Water is being transported to the scene from a source around half a mile away.
There are no reports of any injuries in the blaze and the service said an investigation into the cause will begin once the fire is fully extinguished.
Another large fire saw 21 people evacuated from a block of flats on Thursday night.
