A betting shop worker has been robbed of a four-figure sum as she walked to the Post Office to deposit the cash.
The employee at William Hill Bookmakers in Duke Street, Glasgow, was on her way to deposit the shop's takings when she had her bag snatched by a man who jumped out of a passing car on Monday afternoon.
The 32-year-old was approaching the Post Office on Annfield Place at around 1.35pm when a black Volkswagen Golf drove up. Its driver then jumped out of the car and took the bag.
He got back into the car and drove off in the direction of the city centre.
Strathclyde Police said the woman was not hurt but was shaken by the incident.
The driver is described as a white male in his mid to late 20s. He was around 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in and of average build.
The suspect was wearing a grey hooded tracksuit and had a brown checked scarf covering his nose and mouth.
He had a passenger in the front seat who did not leave the car, which had the registration prefix SB54.
He is described as a white man in his 50s, of slim build with receding hair and dark rectangular glasses.
Constable John Tweedle said: "The area would have been relatively busy at the time and I would ask anyone who was in Duke Street and witnessed this incident or has any information whatsoever regarding this crime, to contact police."
