The Creetown Gem Rock Museum houses one of the finest privately owned collections of gemstones, crystals, minerals and fossils in Britain. Owned and run by the Stephenson family, the museum has shown an astonishing development since it first opened in 1971.

You can expect to see a wide variety of gemstones and minerals collected by the owners from around the world. The showroom galleries extend over 3000 sq.ft and you can see almost every known gemstone and mineral from around the world including huge specimens from the quartz and fluorite crystal groups, exquisite geodes lined with amethyst, agates with spectacular colour bands, opals and even diamonds. There is also a fossilised dinosaur egg and meteorites from outer space.

The crystal Cave combines years of experience and 'state of the art' techniques to create a dazzling display, of crystals. Your visit will be truly crowned at the sight of the secret treasures displayed in all their magnificence in hidden crevices and crystal lodges.

A spectacular volcanic eruption display and fifteen minute audio visual programme 'Fire and Stone' enhance the attraction.

Also on the site are The Gemrock Gift Shop, The Lapidary Workshop and The Prospector's Pantry Tea-room.

The Museum is also family and wheelchair friendly.
