This Edwardian Manor house, set in beautiful woodland gardens overlooking Castle Douglas, is what I would call luxurious hotel accommodation. With its traditional limed oak panelling, antiques, comfortable furnishings and its comfortable and deluxe bedrooms with en-suite facilities and a licensed bar open for all its guests, this is a must place to stay. Longacre Manor offers outdoor sports, such as golf, sailing and horse riding. There are also many attractions in the area including Threave Gardens and Castle, the David Coulthard Museum, dedicated to the successful Formula One Driver. All of this along with its quiet nature and beautiful area will help to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. The accommodation comprises of a King-Sized double Four Poster bedroom, double bedroom, twin bedroom with two single four poster beds and a twin bedroom. One benefit for the King-Sized bedroom is the use of a bath and shower, where as all other rooms only have a shower. Prices vary from £70 for the double bedroom to £100 King Size Four Poster Bedroom. These prices are based on a bed and breakfast rate. Breakfast is served on a long antique table in the dining room, with a choice of Cereals, fruit juice, smoked haddock, kippers and traditional English.
