Tales from the sea have captured the imagination of generations - from 50ft high waves and deep troughs to howling winds and 30ft basking sharks. Who hasn't dreamt of sailing to new horizons and experiencing the excitement for themselves? It does get you wondering however what is it like to experience such swashbuckling adventures first hand?
Well, now you have a chance to find out as sailing legend Pete Goss and Talisker Single Malt whisky join forces to present "Talisker Tales." At this series of small and intimate events at sailing clubs across the UK, audiences will listen to Pete and local crew from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) sharing their real life maritime adventures while enjoying a dram of whisky. All money raised by the events will go direct to the RNLI, a charity that save lives at sea every year and assisted in the recent inland floods.
In this exclusive video Pete Goss offers a taste of what these events have to offer, why supporting the RNLI is so important to him and just how exciting sea-faring adventures can really be. The Final one is at the Talisker distillery on Skye following the Oban to Talisker leg of the Classic Malts Cruise 17th July.
