The kids sponsor the youngster through the council’s Determined to Succeed Enterprise and Education Funding Award.
Susan Bagnall, head playgroup leader, said: “It has been great. The children have been enjoying learning about Africa.
“Next week we are taking them down to the pond to collect water and carry it back to the nursery, so they can see what people in Africa need to do on a daily basis.”
The playgroup will be holding an enrolment open session on Friday, February 12, between 1pm and 3pm.
